Here are some pictures of the upcoming map for the Sassilization lounge. because I hate creating hype, I really did not want to show these to the majority. Try not to get any hopes up or bug us when this map will be finished, cause these are really, really old pictures.
Here is a small video on one of the new view model animations, Jaanus is doing more at this moment.
–Snip– The video wasn’t working.
A screenshot for those who cannot view the video.

If you have any good ideas for an animation we should include, just post a comment.
I just fixed a long time unknown bug in Sassilization that allowed exploiters to spawn any structure they wanted even if they didn’t own it. I had originally added a system to prevent this, but there was a tiny typo I did not know about until Spacetech reported the bug.
Out of generic boredom, Jaanus, the modeler for Sassilization, has produced another fantastic piece of work. I present to you, the new Sassilization view model. This will replace the ‘gordon gloves’ which never made sense since everyone is citizens.
It features a ‘wrist band’ which is colored according to your player color. This is done without making the arm colored with the use of render targets which I only just discovered. When ordering around units it plays a super cool finger pointing animation, you guys (and girls) will love it.
Here is a Lua mockup of how the inventory slider will display your inventory items. Enjoy.

Also, Jaanus is passing his skill on to me. Although I wouldn’t say I’ve reached his skill level, this is one of my first models, which will hopefully be used in the inventory to represent an ‘outfit’ which you can wear. Why? It just wouldn’t make sense to have player models in your inventory to represent your clothes.

I googled sassilization for the first time. I was happy with what came up, somethings I hadn’t known about.
I was surprised to see a neat video explaining all of the game’s units and buildings.
I also found this neat video showcasing the lounge.
For those of you who aren’t cool and don’t have the Teamfortress blog in your books marks, the Heavy Update is coming soon. In fact, it’s already here in a way. Check out the Heavy update page, which every day this week, a new part of the ‘heavy’ update will be announced until the actual release date.
I want to do a huge update to the lounge myself, but, it’s going to take awhile. Instead of working on one thing at a time, I’m spreading my work out and doing tiny, small segments of each ‘little’ project I’ve been working on for the lounge. Maybe they will all be ready together; we’ll see.
I was working on redoing the logo for the scoreboard in the lounge. When SpaceTech recommended I’d make it look like the website. That’s when I could not make up my mind. I’ve prepared two demos. Please, I need your input. Which is better?

try to ignore the red line on the second one. I won’t be there.
Okay. The maintenance is done. Feel free to connect to the lounge again.
Please make sure you report any bugs to any admins, cold, or I whenever possible. We have zero toleration for people who abuse exploits.
Thanks for being patient with me.
I’m working on some stuff for the lounge I want to play it on the safe side instead of risking anyone’s data. I’m switching to AzuiSleet’s gm_tmysql.dll module. Please bare with us and be patient with this transition.
I went ahead with what I wanted to do, and I broke the slot texture into about 10 different ones. It now scales really nicely and looks how I think it should.
It’s much better than the old version.
In other news, the Lobby will be have a password on it for the better part of the day as we are updating a newer threaded mysql module.
